Day 25: 3 things that can make you happy

Is your mood down? Well try one of these ideas to lift your mood up.

1. Dance. Dancing will make you happy.
2. Take a walk. Walking is a light form of exercise.
3. Go shopping. You don't have to buy something expensive. Anything can lift up your mood.

Day 24: Tiger vs cats

Tigers love to swim unlike domestic cats.

My cat hated water. She scratched me so much. Bath time meant war for my cat.

Day 23: How to remove nail polish without nail polish remover.

Most of the time I have nail polish remover but when I do run out I use clear nail polish to remove chipped nail polish. I put on the clear nail polish and wipe clean with tissues. If I don't have clear nail polish I use a color one and works just as well. The only difference is that the clear one is easier to clean up and less messy. Don't wait too long before wiping it or the color one will set.

Day 22: Flower out of Kleenex

I was wondering how people make beautiful flowers out of regular paper. I found some tutorials using gift tissue paper. I didn't have any cute paper but I had Kleenex paper. I thought, why not try it out. I used 8 pieces of paper and folded each one into a fan. Then I cut out the ends into a triangle. I finished all 8 and put them together and fold them into a bunch. I manipulated the tissue paper into a flower.

I wanted to go step further and made the flower into a skirt for this ad that I liked. I cut out the girl halfway. I glued the flower to her body and voila.

I enjoyed this project. Who knew recycling could be so much fun.

Day 21: What do turtles eat?

Yesterday, I got a turtle from my friend. He had her for a while but because she kept cutting his wires he decided to find a new home for her. I've never had a turtle and don't know much about what they eat. She's pretty big size and seems sweet but she hisses like a snake when we come near her. I don't know what kind of turtle it is but I know that is not a water turtle because she has little legs not the webbed kind. I did some research and found out that turtles eat fruit and vegetables but to stay away from milk products.

Vegetables: carrots, lettuce, corn, potatoes, green peas

Fruit: pumpkin
, apples, tomato, orange, mango

Today I will add a variety of these veggies and fruit and see what her favorites are.

Can you help me name her?  Let's meet this little beauty.
Smiling for the camera
Eating my plants

A little update on my turtle. She doesn't like eating carrots but enjoys lettuce. I gave her apple, orange and peach but I'm not sure if she'll eat it, she looked pretty full.

Day 20: Spanish lesson

I think Spanish is a beautiful language. Even though I have some friends that speak Spanish I didn't learn that much from them. I know, it must be due to my laziness.

I decided it's time to impress and progress. Here it is.

Hace mucho frío. Which means: It's very cold.

I've got that sentence down in case I need to complain about the weather.

Day 19: Diamonds aren't rare

Yes it's true. De Beers falsely said that they're rare. They control the market and sell them in small quantity to control the market.
Time to start digging on my own then.

Day 18: Interesting word starting with "A"

I find some words to be quiet fun to read and write. Here's a fun word for ya:
Agathokakological which means composed of both good and evil.

Try to say that 5 times, GO on I dare you...lol Can you use it in a sentence?

Here's my little sentence: My kitty Naughty is such an agathokakological queen. >.<

Btw, each time I write the word agathokakological, spell check underlines it in red. As if to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

Have you EVER heard anyone use this word? I haven't, or if I have I probably thought it's a made up word to confuse people. Try to use it today and see the expressions on people's faces. Some might act like they know the meaning of it and will shake their head in agreement with you. lol Have fun.

Day 17: Cat fact

Here is a cat fact. Cats are more like humans than we think, they like their food to be not too hot or too cold.  They might not eat it if it's not the right temperature.

And you thought you have picky eaters.

Day 15: Want to sell your house?

Here is a proven fact. If you want to sell your house faster and for more money, paint it yellow.

I can imagine a town somewhere in Florida full of yellow houses.

Day 14: Where does ice cream come from?

Did you know that ice cream comes from China?
I know, right? They use to serve ice cream to the king, but since they didn't have refrigerators they use to get ice from the mountains. Oh, man imagine that. I'm so impatient. If I was living in those days I would most likely live on the mountains.

Day 13: Potato Salad

I love potato salad. I'm trying to stay away from french fries and potato salad is the next best thing for me. It's very simple and easy to do.

Here's my recipe:

2-3 potatoes
parsley
onion
salt (to taste)
extra virgin olive oil
apple cider vinegar
black olives (optional)
bacon (optional)

Boil potatoes. Take them out of the water and cut into cubes. Chop parsley and onion, mix in olive oil, apple cider vinegar and salt. If you like add black olives and crispy bacon. I avoid the bacon and olives for a healthier option. Enjoy

Let me know how your potato salad turned out.
