Day 11: Gogi Berries
Gogi berries can be consumed on their own, with cereal or made into tea.
They have seed inside
I made my own tea and it was not bad at all. I let it sit for 10min and then I drank it. The gogi berries became soft and I enjoyed eating them.
I added cinnamon to my gogi berry tea. They doubled in size when I added hot water.
I read that caution should be taken if Gogi berries are used while on medicine because eating too many Gogi berries might thin the blood. Check with your doctor if Gogi berries are good for you.

Day 10: Learn Japanese Word
I love <3 anything Japanese, their food, culture, people. I've never been to Japan but I will visit one day soon. Japanese seems like such a difficult language but I decided to learn one word. I know it's not much but it's a start. I looked up the word love and how to write it. I don't know how right it is. If anybody out there speaks Japanese let me know if it makes any sense. For now I'm satisfied with learning a simple word but I can't wait to experience this beautiful country.
The word is Ai which means Love.
My 1st attempt. How right is it? I have no clue but I tried to copy it as close as possible. I just hope it's nothing inappropriate:)

Day 9: How to make money
Seriously, who doesn't want to make more money? I will share with you 5 ways to make extra cash. I have tried a few of these ways and I've been successful at it. You can try it too especially if you're a stay at home mom, a student or simply want additional change.
1. Sell your stuff on the internet. Sites like e-bay.com, souq.com, dubbizle.com are great way to generate extra income and clean out your closets.
2. Make an youtube video. If it's popular you can make money.
3. Sell at a Flea Market in your own city. It's easy to set up and affordable.
4. Start your own website. If you're good in something you can sell your services.
5. Make mobile apps. If you don't know how, go to odesk.com or elance.com and give them your idea for the app., pay them to create the app for you. If it's popular you'll always money from this application.
Good luck and let's make some money.

Day 7: Learning a joke
I've never been good at telling jokes because I can never remember them. I love to laugh and like to make people laugh. However I know that my funny bone has been on holiday lately. Time to change that. Here it is:
"I was in the restaurant yesterday when I suddenly realized I desperately
needed to pass gas. The music was really, really loud, so I timed my
gas with the beat of the music.
After a couple of songs, I started to feel better. I finished my coffee,
and noticed that everybody was staring at me....
Then I suddenly remembered that I was listening to my iPod."
I tested out this joke on my friend and failed. lol She tried to laugh but at the end she said it wasn't that funny. Time to look for another joke, I won't give up.
I got this joke from http://www.jokes-best.com/

Day 5: Newspaper Nail Art Tutorial
I wanted to try a wonderful and simple idea. I was surprised how easy it was to create beautiful nails decorated with newspaper clippings. On my 1st try the nail was a bit blurry but not too bad so I kept it. I had problem with only my right thumb. I removed the color and redid it. Success:) Follow the steps and see how much fun it is.
All you need is nail color , rubbing alcohol, newspaper clippings, top coat and small container.
Apply light nail color 2 times. I chose white color. Let it dry before you proceed.
Pour rubbing alcohol in a small container and dip your finger for about 15 sec.
Press a small piece of newpaper clipping onto your nail for about 15 sec.
Slowly remove the paper from your nail. You can use text or pictures. I put Angelina Jolie's face on my thumb.
Finish all your nails and apply a top coat.

Day 3: Multiplication
I learned an interesting math equation.
111,111,111 x 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321
Who would have thought that math could be so easy.

Day 2: Learn how to draw simple cartoons
I decided it'll be fun to learn to draw some of the famous cartoons. I'm attempting to do these for the 1st time. You might think it took me 5 minutes but you'd be wrong, it took me a few hours. lol I guess I won't have a career in drawing cartoons anytime soon.
When I was younger I used to watch "The Simpsons." I went online to see how I can draw Bart. It looked pretty simple. Here it is.
Well My Bart Simpson looks a bit skinny but I think he didn't turn out too bad.
Since Bart was kind of fun to draw I proceeded to learn how to draw "Blossom" from "The Powerpuff Girls." She's a cutie. I must admit she was much more complicated for me to do. Even though at first glance she looked easy to draw. She looks a bit skinny too. hehehe
I still love her.
I love everything "Hello Kitty" my next and last attempt is the adorable little kitty. Even though I thought she'll be the easiest to do, I was not successful on my 1st try. Here she is. I believe a 5 year old can do better than this.
I thought I should try again and see how i can improve. I'm a bit prouder this time.

Learning something new each day.
I'm sure you've heard the expression, "you learn something new every day." I wanted to test that theory and make it happen.
Kids learn something new all the time but as we become adults we stop challenging ourselves. We get into our habits and we stop learning. That's why I want to learn something new everyday. I will use everyday items I have at home. I want to learn new crafts, draw, cook, learn a poem, words, skills, language, learn a magic trick etc.
No matter how silly or embarassing I will post my succesful tries and unsuccessful attempts. I believe we learn form our successes as much as our failures.
So get ready. I don't know how frequently I can post. My intention is to learn something, not just do it for the sake of it. I would love to challenge myself and post something new each day, however that might be unrealistic. What if the internet is not working or I go on holiday? Just because I don't post it at the same time it doesn't mean that I didn't learn something that day.
This is what I hope accomplish:
a) My mind will be active. More brain activity
b) Bragging rights...to my friends and family
c) Make/lose friends :p
d) Be open to learn
e) Find out my strength/ weaknesses
I will attempt this crazy idea for a year. Oh, my God!!! What am I getting myself into??? Tomorrow will be an interesting day for me. Stay tuned and keep me on my toes. Throw ideas my way and I will try to do them. Huh! It should be fun. I'm so excited>.<
